純粋
Meaning
Pure; genuine; unmixed; unadulterated. Describes something or someone free from impurities, ulterior motives, or complicating elements.
A na-adjective (and noun) used both in scientific contexts (pure substance, unmixed material) and to describe a person's character or motivations (genuinely sincere, without hidden agenda). 純粋な人 is a common compliment for someone earnest and untainted by cynicism. Can also describe an emotion or desire that is simple and undivided.
