とてつもない
Meaning
Extraordinary; outrageous; tremendous. Describes something that is far beyond normal expectations or comprehension, whether in scale, severity, or absurdity.
An i-adjective formed from とて (even so / by any means) + つも (any) + ない (not), literally meaning 'not achievable by any means.' Used to express extreme degree — either impressively large (unbelievable talent) or shockingly unreasonable (outrageous behaviour). The word is versatile in both positive and negative contexts.
