意味

Indicates that the speaker or someone the speaker empathises with receives a beneficial action from another person. It emphasises that the receiver requested or benefited from someone else's action.

てもらう combines the て-form with もらう to express that the speaker receives the benefit of someone else's action. Unlike てくれる, which focuses on the kindness of the doer, てもらう emphasises the receiver's initiative in obtaining help or a favour. The polite form ていただく is used when the person performing the action is of higher status. This pattern frequently appears in polite requests as てもらえますか or ていただけますか.
