反面
Meaning
On the other hand; the flip side; the reverse aspect. Introduces a contrasting or opposing quality or consequence.
A noun used as a conjunctive adverb. Its primary function is as a contrastive connector: 〜反面、〜 (while/whereas A, on the other hand B). Introduces a drawback, paradox, or contradictory aspect. Differs from 一方 in that 反面 specifically emphasises the opposing or problematic side of something predominantly positive.
