街コン
意味
A large-scale matchmaking event organized in a city or neighborhood where strangers mingle at multiple venues, typically bars or restaurants.
Unlike a small 合コン, 街コン involves dozens or even hundreds of participants who rotate between partner venues in a designated area. Organizers sell tickets (often cheaper for women), and participants get food, drinks, and the chance to meet many people in one night. It became a mainstream dating method in the early 2010s, especially for those who find マッチングアプリ intimidating.
