Meaning
Camp; faction; side. A group of people aligned under a common political leader, cause, or coalition.
Originally referring to a military encampment (陣 'encampment' + 営 'camp'), 陣営 is now used broadly for political factions, electoral alliances, and ideological groupings. It suggests the solidarity and strategic cohesion of a team working toward a shared goal. Common in electoral coverage: 与党陣営 (ruling coalition side), 野党陣営 (opposition side).
