Meaning

To be collected; to be settled; to come together in an orderly way.

A Group 1 (godan) intransitive verb and the intransitive pair of まとめる. Used when things come together naturally or reach a conclusion: 話がまとまる (a discussion is settled), 意見がまとまる (opinions are unified), 髪がまとまる (hair falls into place). The kanji 纏 exists but hiragana is standard in modern writing.
