呈する
Meaning
To present; to show; to display; to exhibit a quality or state. The standard modern suru-verb form for formal exhibition.
A Group 3 (suru) verb of Sino-Japanese origin. 呈する is the standard modern form of 呈す and is used in formal writing to describe exhibiting a state (様相を呈する — to take on a particular aspect), raising an objection (異議を呈する), or formally offering something. More widely encountered than 呈す in contemporary usage.

- 事態は混乱の様相を呈するようになった。 The situation began to take on an appearance of chaos.
- 学会では複数の研究者が反論を呈した。 At the conference, several researchers presented counterarguments.
