A noun referring to a projected goal, target, or expected outcome. Very common in business and project planning contexts. Key patterns include めどが立つ (to have a clear target), めどがつく (to see the end in sight), and 完成のめどは来月です (the target for completion is next month). Can be written as 目処 or 目途 in kanji but hiragana is most common in modern usage.
