念押し
意味
Confirmation; double-checking; pressing a point to make sure it is understood. Re-emphasising something to ensure no misunderstanding arises.
A noun and suru-verb (念押しする). The phrase 念を押す is a common verbal form meaning to make sure, to confirm, or to drive a point home. Unlike 確認 (confirmation as a general act of checking), 念押し has a nuance of emphatic insistence — repeating or reinforcing a point because one is not fully confident it has been taken on board.
例文

- 念を押したのに、相手は約束した内容を忘れていた。
