仮釈放
意味
Parole; conditional release of a prisoner before completing a full sentence, subject to good behaviour and compliance with conditions.
A legal noun composed of 仮 (provisional) and 釈放 (release). Granted when a prisoner has served a portion of their sentence and demonstrates rehabilitation. Requires compliance with specified conditions; violation results in return to prison. Also referred to as 仮出所. The Parole Board (地方更生保護委員会) makes decisions based on conduct and risk assessment.
