A formal term used in announcements and ceremonies to direct people to sit down or take their assigned seats. Common in event MC scripts, theatre and concert announcements, award ceremonies, and conference openings. More dignified than 坐下 and more specific than 入座 in implying going to one's designated spot. Often follows instructions like 请各位来宾就座.
