視点
Meaning
Point of view; viewpoint; perspective from which something is observed.
A noun used both literally for a visual vantage point and figuratively for an intellectual or analytical perspective. Common expressions: 視点を変える (shiten wo kaeru, to change perspective), 異なる視点 (kotonaru shiten, different viewpoint). Frequently used in academic writing, journalism, and debates. Similar to 観点 (kanten) but 視点 emphasises where one is looking from.
