Meaning

Point of view; viewpoint; perspective from which something is observed.

A noun used both literally for a visual vantage point and figuratively for an intellectual or analytical perspective. Common expressions: 視点を変える (shiten wo kaeru, to change perspective), 異なる視点 (kotonaru shiten, different viewpoint). Frequently used in academic writing, journalism, and debates.
