Meaning
Settlement; solution; resolution. The act of solving a problem or reaching an answer.
A noun that also functions as a suru verb (解決する). One of the most common abstract nouns in Japanese, used in everyday life, business, and academics. Key patterns: 問題を解決する (to solve a problem), 解決策 (kaiketsusaku, solution/remedy), 解決に向けて (working toward a resolution). Can be used both transitively and intransitively: 問題が解決した (the problem was resolved).
