凸する
Meaning
To raid, barge into, or unexpectedly join someone's livestream — often uninvited or as a surprise.
凸 (totsu) is used because the character visually represents something protruding or pushing forward. 凸する means to push yourself into a situation — most commonly joining a streamer's broadcast uninvited, calling in to a live show, or showing up at a location. In streaming culture, it can be friendly (surprise collab) or hostile (stream sniping, harassment). The opposite, 凸待ち (totsu machi), means the streamer is openly accepting call-ins. The term originated in gaming culture but spread to all streaming contexts.
Examples
- 知らない人に凸されてビビった。 Some random person raided my stream and I freaked out.
- 凸待ち配信するから誰でも来ていいよ。 I'm doing a call-in stream, so anyone's welcome to join!
- あの配信者に凸したいけど勇気ない。 I want to raid that streamer but I don't have the guts.

Common Mistakes
