Meaning

A phrase that introduces the origins or basis of names, theories, ideas, and events. It means 'from the point/aspect that' or 'owing to the fact that.'

ところから focuses on the specific point of origin, observation, or characteristic from which something — a name, theory, nickname, or conclusion — was derived. It is closely related to ことから, but while ことから broadly cites a 'fact' as a reason, ところから zeroes in on a particular aspect, feature, or circumstance as the source. It is especially common when explaining etymologies, the origins of place names, or how a theory was conceived. It appears frequently in informational and expository writing.
