弁舌
意味
Eloquence; oratory; speech; rhetoric. The ability or manner of speaking persuasively and fluently.
A formal noun highlighting the quality or style of one's spoken expression. 弁舌さわやか (crisp, fluent oratory) and 弁舌が立つ (to be eloquent) are common collocations. Often used admiringly in literary or journalistic contexts when describing skilled orators, debaters, or persuasive speakers. Closely related to 雄弁 (eloquence), but 弁舌 focuses more on the style and manner of speech itself.
