文人・文士（教養ある文の人）

In Chinese tradition, 文人 represents an idealized cultured intellectual who writes poetry, practises calligraphy, and embodies moral refinement. 文人画 (literati painting) is an important art genre. Often contrasted with 武人 (military men) or 商人 (merchants).
