Used as an adverb to stress sincerity or intensity. Often appears with 太 for extra emphasis, as in 实在太...了. Can also function as an adjective meaning 'honest, down-to-earth' when describing a person's character. In adverbial use, it is stronger and more heartfelt than 真的.
