Meaning
Quantitative; relating to or expressible in terms of numerical quantities or measurable amounts.
A na-adjective contrasted with 定性的 (qualitative). 定量的分析 (quantitative analysis) measures the amount or concentration of a substance or variable. In research design, 定量的調査 (quantitative research) uses statistics and numerical data to test hypotheses. The distinction between 定性的 and 定量的 is fundamental in scientific and social-scientific methodology.
