相対性
Meaning
Relativity; the property of being relative rather than absolute. Most famously associated with Einstein's theory of relativity.
Used in physics (特殊相対性理論 — special relativity; 一般相対性理論 — general relativity) and philosophy (道徳の相対性 — moral relativity; 文化的相対主義 — cultural relativism). The concept that measurements of time, length, and mass depend on the observer's frame of reference is central to modern physics.
