Meaning
Generation; creation; formation; production. The process by which something comes into being.
A する-verb (生成する) used across chemistry (compound formation), biology (protein synthesis), linguistics (sentence generation in generative grammar), and AI (生成AI — generative AI). In chemistry, 生成物 (seisei-butsu) means 'product of a reaction'. The term has become especially prominent with the rise of 生成AI in recent years.
