Meaning
Discussion; exposition; dissertation; setting out an argument in writing or speech. The structured explanation and development of a point of view or argument.
A suru-verb noun (論述する) used in academic and formal contexts. 論述式問題 (essay-type question) is a common examination term. Distinct from 論文 (academic paper/thesis), 論述 focuses on the act of developing and presenting an argument in writing, and is often used to describe the content or format of written tasks in university entrance examinations and academic assessments.
