土台
意味
A foundation or base; the underlying structure that supports something, literally or figuratively.
A noun with both concrete and abstract uses. Concretely, it refers to the foundation of a building (建物の土台). Abstractly, it means the basis or groundwork for something: 教育の土台 (foundation of education), 成功の土台 (basis for success). The adverbial use 土台無理だ means 'it is fundamentally impossible' — adding emphasis that something was never feasible from the start.
