Fortín/aldea fortificada en la montaña; hoy, imitación o falsificación sin autorización.
Historical sense: mountain strongholds of bandits or rebel armies, as in Water Margin. Modern sense (widespread from the 2000s): cheap Chinese imitations of branded goods — 山寨手机 (knockoff phone), 山寨品牌 (copycat brand).
