艰辛

Chinese HSK 7-9 Vocabulary Chinese ★★ 2/5 neutral jiān xīn
Pinyin jiān xīn
Desglose de hanzi 艰 = 艮 + 又 (unyielding resistance against all efforts); 辛 = branding iron radical (bitterness and suffering — the pain of a brand)

Significado

Penurias; duro sacrificio

Focuses on the subjective experience of suffering through difficulty, rather than the objective dangerousness of a situation. Often appears with 历尽 (having experienced thoroughly) or 饱尝 (having tasted fully). Frequently used in descriptions of parents' sacrifices, pioneer struggles, or life's trials. More emotionally resonant than 困难, it implies deep personal cost.
