诉苦
Meaning
To pour out one's hardships, grievances, or complaints to someone. Implies expressing personal suffering and seeking the sympathy or understanding of the listener.
Carries an emotional, sometimes plaintive quality. Implies a desire to be heard and understood rather than necessarily seeking a practical solution. Common in personal conversations, literature, and historical contexts. Can be used sympathetically (highlighting genuine suffering) or mildly critically (suggesting excessive complaining). Often implies prolonged or accumulated hardship.
