赫然

Strikingly; startlingly; conspicuously. Used to describe something that appears suddenly and forcefully, making a strong impression — whether through brilliance, shock, or imposing presence.
A literary adverb-adjective with two main senses: (1) striking and impressive in appearance — 赫然在目 (conspicuously before one's eyes); (2) furious or stern in manner — 赫然震怒 (visibly furious). In modern usage, sense (1) dominates, especially in written descriptions of unexpected discoveries, sudden appearances, or imposing sights. Frequent in news headlines and literary prose for dramatic effect.
