Meaning

More or less the same; similar with minor differences; much of a muchness. An idiom describing things that are essentially alike despite small variations.

Used when comparing options, products, or situations that don't differ significantly. Can be neutral (things are comparable) or slightly dismissive (nothing special distinguishes them).

Examples

  1. 这几家店卖的东西大同小异,价格也差不多。 These stores sell more or less the same things, and the prices are about the same too.
