  1. 挨拶 あいさつ Greeting; salutation. A polite set phrase used when meeting or parting from someone.
  2. 返事 へんじ Reply; answer; response. A verbal or written answer to a question or call.
  3. 連絡 れんらく Contact; getting in touch; communication. A message or call to inform someone.
  4. 報告 ほうこく Report; information. A formal account of findings or events delivered to someone.
  5. 説明 せつめい Explanation; description; account. Making something clear or understandable through words.
  6. 紹介 しょうかい Introduction; presentation; referral. Bringing someone or something to another person's attention.
  7. 相談 そうだん Consultation; discussion. Asking someone for advice or talking something over together.
  8. 議論 ぎろん Argument; discussion; debate. An exchange of differing views on a topic.
  9. 意見 いけん Opinion; view; comment. A personal thought or judgement about something.
  10. 賛成 さんせい Approval; agreement; support. Being in favour of something or someone's idea.
  11. 反対 はんたい Opposition; objection; dissent. Being against something or holding the opposite view.
  12. 承知 しょうち Knowledge; awareness; understanding. Acknowledgement that one has understood and accepted something.
  13. 確認 かくにん Confirmation; verification; check. Making sure something is correct or true.
  14. 伝える つたえる To convey; to tell; to communicate. Passing information or a message to someone.
  15. 申し込む もうしこむ To apply for; to make an application. To formally request or sign up for something.
  16. 断る ことわる To refuse; to reject; to decline. Turning down a request, offer, or invitation.
  17. 許す ゆるす To permit; to allow; to forgive. Granting approval or pardoning someone.
  18. 謝る あやまる To apologise; to say sorry. Expressing regret for a mistake or wrongdoing.
  19. 褒める ほめる To praise; to commend; to compliment. Speaking well of someone or their actions.
  20. 叱る しかる To scold; to chide; to reprimand. Telling someone off for doing something wrong.
  21. 文句 もんく Complaint; grumbling; objection. Words of dissatisfaction directed at someone or something.
  22. うわさ Rumour; gossip; hearsay. Unverified information passed from person to person.
  23. 冗談 じょうだん Joke; jest; funny story. Something said to make people laugh, not to be taken seriously.
  24. 秘密 ひみつ Secret; secrecy; confidentiality. Information that is hidden or not shared with others.
  25. うそ Lie; fib; falsehood. Something said that is not true, either to deceive or in disbelief.
