Meaning

Perception; conscious awareness through the senses. The faculty of perceiving and being aware of one's surroundings.

A psychological and medical term. 失去知觉 (lose consciousness) is very common. Also used in philosophy and cognitive science. Distinguished from 感觉 (sensation) as involving higher cognitive processing.
