儒家
Meaning
Confucianism; the Confucian school of thought. The philosophical and ethical tradition founded by Confucius that has profoundly shaped Chinese civilisation for over two millennia.
The dominant school of Chinese philosophy, emphasising ren (benevolence), yi (righteousness), li (ritual propriety), zhi (wisdom), and xin (faithfulness). Fundamental to Chinese governance, family structure, and education. 儒家 contrasts with 道家 (Taoism), 法家 (Legalism), 墨家 (Mohism), and 佛家 (Buddhism).
