贯彻
Meaning
To implement thoroughly; to carry through; to put into practice consistently. Refers to fully and systematically executing a decision, policy, or principle.
A core term in Chinese political and organisational language. Almost always used in formal contexts: implementing Party directives, executing corporate strategies, or upholding legal principles. The collocation 贯彻执行 (thoroughly implement and execute) is extremely common in official documents and speeches.

Origin & History
贯 (to string through, to penetrate) + 彻 (to penetrate thoroughly, to reach the end). Together conveys the idea of pushing something through from beginning to end without interruption.
