  1. 交通 こうつう Traffic; transportation. The movement of vehicles and people along roads and transit routes.
  2. 渋滞 じゅうたい Traffic congestion; traffic jam; gridlock. A backup of vehicles on roads or highways.
  3. 事故 じこ Accident; incident; trouble. An unexpected harmful event, especially involving vehicles.
  4. 運転 うんてん Driving; operation of a vehicle or machine. The act of controlling and steering.
  5. 免許 めんきょ Licence; permit; certificate. Official authorisation to do something, especially to drive.
  6. 速度 そくど Speed; velocity; pace. The rate at which something moves or operates.
  7. 方向 ほうこう Direction; orientation; bearing. The course along which something moves or faces.
  8. 距離 きょり Distance; range; interval. The amount of space between two points.
  9. 案内 あんない Guidance; information; showing someone around. Leading or directing someone to a destination.
  10. 観光 かんこう Sightseeing; tourism. Visiting places of interest for pleasure.
  11. ガイド がいど Guide; tour guide. A person or book that provides information and direction for travellers.
  12. 手荷物 てにもつ Hand luggage; hand baggage. Small bags or items carried personally by a traveller.
  13. ビザ びざ Visa. An official permit allowing entry into or stay in a country.
  14. 予約 よやく Reservation; appointment; booking. Arranging something in advance.
  15. 片道 かたみち One-way trip. Travelling in one direction only, as opposed to a round trip.
  16. 往復 おうふく Round trip; going and returning. Travelling to a destination and back.
  17. 出発 しゅっぱつ Departure; leaving; setting off. The act of starting a journey.
  18. 到着 とうちゃく Arrival. Reaching a destination after a journey.
  19. 目的地 もくてきち Destination. The place one is heading towards or aiming to reach.
  20. 運転手 うんてんしゅ Driver; chauffeur. A person who drives a vehicle as their occupation.
  21. 特急 とっきゅう Limited express. A fast train that skips most stations, faster than a regular express.
  22. 汽車 きしゃ Steam train; train. Originally a steam-powered railway vehicle.
