compound
含义: Something made of two or more parts; or to make a problem worse
Compound has several meanings: in chemistry, a substance made of two or more elements (like water, H2O); in grammar, a word made from two words (like 'bedroom'); an enclosed area with buildings (like a military compound); and as a verb, to make something bad even worse ('compound the problem').
