prototype
含义: A first or preliminary version of a product, device, or design from which later versions are developed and tested.
In engineering and product development, a prototype is built to test and validate a concept before committing to full production. Prototypes range from rough models to fully functional pre-production units. The term is also used figuratively to mean an original or typical example of something — 'she was the prototype of the modern entrepreneur.' In software development, prototyping is a standard methodology for iterative design.
