outlier
含义: A data point, person, or thing that differs significantly from the rest of a group or set.
Outlier has both a statistical and a general sense. In statistics, it is a value that lies far from the centre of a distribution, potentially skewing results. In general usage, popularised by Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers, it describes exceptionally successful or unusual individuals. The word implies standing apart from the norm without necessarily carrying positive or negative judgement.
