diminuendo
含义: A gradual decrease in loudness or intensity in music; the opposite of a crescendo.
Diminuendo is a standard musical direction indicating that the performer should gradually reduce volume. It is less commonly used figuratively than its counterpart crescendo, but does appear in literary and journalistic writing to describe a fading or declining of intensity. The alternative term 'decrescendo' means the same thing. In musical notation, diminuendo is often abbreviated to 'dim.'
