accessory
含义: In law, a person who assists in or contributes to the commission of a crime without being the principal offender, either before or after the fact.
As a legal term, accessory distinguishes between the person who actually commits a crime and those who aid, abet, or conceal it. An 'accessory before the fact' helps plan or facilitate the crime; an 'accessory after the fact' assists in concealing it or helping the offender escape. Outside law, accessory also means an additional item or attachment, but the legal sense is the more advanced usage.
