Say vs tell and basic reporting

简介

间接引语（reported speech）就是我们转述别人说过的话的方式。不是直接引用原话（\"She said, 'I'm tired'\"），而是用间接的方式报告（\"She said she was tired\"）。

\"say\"和\"tell\"的区别是英语学习者常踩的坑。\"Tell\"后面必须跟人（tell someone），而\"say\"不需要（say something）。中文里\"说\"一个字就搞定了，但英语里这两个词的用法很不一样。
