Simple passive constructions

简介

被动语态把焦点从“谁做了动作”转移到“谁/什么接受了动作”。比如把“The chef cooked the meal（厨师做了饭）”变成“The meal was cooked (by the chef)（饭被（厨师）做了）”。

中文的“被”字句就是类似的概念，不过英语的被动语态用得更广泛。正式写作、新闻报道、以及不知道或不在乎谁做了某事的场合，被动语态都特别好用。英语学术论文里几乎离不开它。

在基础阶段，你会学到一般现在时和一般过去时的被动语态，这是日常生活中最常见的被动形式。别以为被动语态只出现在书面语——日常对话里也经常遇到。
