practice
Meaning: Repeated exercise to improve skill; the usual way of doing something
Practice refers to repeated activity to improve a skill, or customary actions and procedures. 'In practice' means in reality (as opposed to theory). 'Put into practice' means to use knowledge. Note: In British English, 'practice' is the noun and 'practise' is the verb; Americans use 'practice' for both.
