Meaning: The thinking part of a person; to object to; to be careful about
As a noun, 'mind' refers to thoughts and intellect ('state of mind', 'change your mind'). As a verb, it means to object ('Do you mind if...?'), to be careful ('Mind the gap'), or to look after something (British). 'Never mind' means don't worry. 'Make up your mind' means to decide.
