A guest is a person who is invited to visit someone's home, attend an event, or stay at a hotel. 'Guest of honour' is the most important guest. A 'guest speaker' is invited to give a talk. Hotels often refer to customers as 'guests.' 'Be my guest' is a polite way of saying 'go ahead.'
