Meaning: A legal member of a country with rights and duties
A citizen is a person who legally belongs to a country, with the associated rights (voting, passport) and duties (obeying laws, paying taxes). 'Citizenship' is the state of being a citizen. 'Dual citizenship' means belonging to two countries. 'Senior citizen' is a polite term for an elderly person.
