symphony
Meaning: An elaborate musical composition for a full orchestra, typically in four movements; something regarded as a harmonious combination of elements.
The symphony is one of the grandest forms in classical music, developed by Haydn and Mozart and expanded dramatically by Beethoven and later composers. A symphony orchestra is a large ensemble capable of performing such works. Figuratively, 'symphony' describes any complex, harmonious arrangement — 'a symphony of flavours,' 'a symphony of colour.' The word is also commonly used in the names of orchestras.
