hyperactivity
Meaning: A state of abnormally increased activity and restlessness, often associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Hyperactivity is one of the three core symptoms of ADHD, alongside inattention and impulsivity. In children, it typically presents as constant movement, fidgeting, and difficulty sitting still. In adults, it may manifest more as inner restlessness or an inability to relax. The term is also used more broadly outside clinical contexts to describe excessive activity of any kind.
