curriculum
Meaning: The subjects and content taught in a school or course of study; the overall programme of learning and its intended outcomes.
In the UK, the National Curriculum specifies the subjects and standards that state schools must follow. The word is used broadly to cover everything from the subjects offered to the specific content within each subject. 'Curriculum vitae' (CV) — literally 'the course of one's life' — uses the same Latin root. The plural can be either 'curricula' (Latin) or 'curriculums' (English).
