prophetic
의미: Accurately predicting what will happen in the future; relating to or characteristic of a prophet.
Prophetic has both a religious sense (relating to biblical or spiritual prophecy) and a secular sense (describing any prediction that proves accurate). 'Prophetic words,' 'a prophetic vision,' and 'proved to be prophetic' are standard collocations. Unlike 'prescient,' which emphasises rational foresight, prophetic carries overtones of inspiration, destiny, or uncanny accuracy. It is common in literary criticism, religious studies, and retrospective political commentary.
