progression
의미: The process of developing or moving gradually towards a more advanced state; a series of events or stages following a logical sequence.
Progression is used across many fields. In careers, it refers to advancement (career progression). In music, a chord progression is a sequence of chords. In mathematics, arithmetic and geometric progressions are specific number sequences. In medicine, disease progression describes how a condition worsens over time. It is distinct from 'progress' (which is uncountable and means general improvement) in that progression emphasises the staged, sequential nature of change.
